Services Overview

Mahogany offers therapy and professional consultation rooted in clinical expertise, cultural awareness, and collaborative care. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, your family, or your organization, we will help guide you toward the right next step.

Our services are designed to feel clear, supportive, and responsive to the people we serve.

Therapy Services

Therapy at Mahogany supports high-achieving children, adolescents, adults, and older adults who may be carrying more than others realize.

Many of our clients excel in school, work, relationships, caregiving, or leadership roles while quietly struggling with perfectionism, people-pleasing, anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship patterns, grief, school stress, caregiving responsibilities, or major life changes.

For parents, the decision to seek therapy for a child or adolescent often comes when emotional or behavioral concerns begin affecting school, relationships, confidence, or daily life. A school counselor, teacher, pediatrician, or trusted professional may have recommended therapy. Other times, parents notice that their child is overwhelmed, overscheduled, avoiding school, afraid of making mistakes, or struggling to be vulnerable even when they appear to “have it all together.”

Early support can help before mental health concerns become more disruptive. Therapy can give children, adolescents, and adults a place to understand what they are feeling, build healthier coping strategies, and develop tools for navigating stress, relationships, and change.

We work collaboratively and at a pace that feels manageable, helping clients better understand themselves, their experiences, and the patterns that may be affecting their relationships and well-being.

Professional Services

Mahogany also offers professional services for clinicians, agencies, and organizations seeking culturally sensitive, ethical, and clinically grounded support.

Aminah’s professional services are supported by ongoing training in culturally sensitive clinical supervision, competence-based supervision, ethical practice, burnout and vicarious trauma, and solution-focused approaches that bridge education and mental health. This foundation informs her work with clinicians, agencies, and organizations seeking practical, culturally sensitive professional development.

Aminah has also presented professional trainings for the National Association of Social Workers and the School Social Work Association of America, including ethics-focused training for social work and school-based mental health professionals.
