Trainings and Professional Development
Mahogany offers trainings and professional development for agencies, organizations, and mental health providers seeking practical, culturally sensitive support.
Training topics may include culturally competent services, ethics, self-care for mental health professionals, burnout and vicarious trauma, supporting diverse clients and communities, and school-based mental health topics.
Aminah has presented professional trainings for the National Association of Social Workers and the School Social Work Association of America, including ethics-focused trainings for social work, mental health organizations and school-based mental health professionals seeking training or consultation.
Each training is designed to be thoughtful, relevant, and grounded in real-world clinical and organizational needs.
Cultural Competence Consultation
Culturally competent care requires more than good intentions. It asks providers and organizations to consider how identity, culture, community, power, access, and lived experience influence the way people seek help, receive care, and experience support.
Mahogany provides consultation to help agencies and organizations strengthen their ability to provide services that are respectful, responsive, and clinically grounded.
Ethics and Self-Care Trainings
Mental health providers and helping professionals often hold significant responsibility while navigating complex ethical, relational, and emotional demands.
Aminah provides professional development related to ethics, self-care, burnout, and vicarious trauma to support clinicians and teams in sustaining thoughtful, ethical, and effective work.
