I'M AMINAH

Some may describe me as a mother, wife, sister, and therapist. In reality, I am so much more than that. So are you. Society may put us in boxes but that doesn’t mean we have to stay there. I grew up often feeling that the available boxes never quite fit me. Let’s break free from who we think we should be or who others expect us to be and start living the fulfilling life we deserve. Join me on a journey of radical self-acceptance, self-discovery, and healing.

I’ve practiced as a licensed mental health professional for over 20 years. I’m passionate about serving children and adults and deeply committed to empowering my clients to reach their goals.  A strong collaborative relationship with caregivers is critical to my approach to working with youth. I use a holistic approach that incorporates the varied cultural backgrounds of the community I serve. I value creating an affirming safe space for clients of all ages to explore patterns that no longer serve them. My clinical orientation is rooted in solution focused and narrative therapy. This approach is client directed. It empowers clients to objectively examine aspects of their identity and identify solutions to the challenges they aim to address in therapy. 

I'M KATIE

I’m a licensed clinical social worker, but like you, I’m more than just a title. I know what it’s like to move through life transitions, question your path, and feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Life is full of messy, complicated moments—and I believe therapy can be the space where you start to make sense of them. I’m here to help you tune out the noise of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and burnout, and start listening to your own voice again.

I’ve spent years supporting adults through anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, and the pressure to “hold it all together.” My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply grounded in evidence-based care like CBT and ACT—but more importantly, it’s grounded in you. I create space for curiosity, clarity, and change, empowering you to reconnect with what matters most and build a life that feels more aligned and authentic.

OUR STORY

The latest statistics on the prevalence of mental illness in the United States are staggering. Our therapy practice was launched in response to these growing needs—and with a mission to help destigmatize mental health care. We are committed to providing culturally sensitive, affirming care that honors each client’s unique identity and lived experience.

Our therapists utilize evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients examine thought patterns that influence difficult emotions and experiences. We are also influenced by narrative therapy, a client-directed approach that empowers individuals to explore aspects of their identity and the stories that shape their challenges and growth.
